In the fourth quarter of 2023, the top 5 carpooling and ridesharing apps on the Android platform in Kuwait showcased varied performance metrics in weekly downloads and active users, according to Sensor Tower data.

Careem – rides, food & more exhibited a relatively stable trend in weekly downloads, fluctuating between 664 and 843 downloads. The highest downloads were recorded in the last week of December at 843. Weekly active users for the app also showed stability, ranging from 15.6K to 16.5K, with a peak of 16.5K in the first week of December.

Uber - Request a ride saw a decline in weekly downloads from 644 in late September to 417 in the last week of December. However, weekly active users experienced a slight increase, peaking at 20.1K in the first week of December, up from 19.4K in late November.

inDrive. Save on city rides had a modest number of weekly downloads, ranging from 177 to 312, with the highest downloads occurring in the last week of September. The app's weekly active users ranged between 3.7K and 4.4K, maintaining a consistent user base throughout the quarter.

Careem Captain saw weekly downloads fluctuate between 155 and 254, with the highest downloads in the first week of December. The app's weekly active users ranged from 571 to 715, peaking in the second week of December.

Lastly, TaxiF Driver - Be the Captain! experienced a decline in weekly downloads from 328 in early October to just 51 in the last week of December. The weekly active users also saw a decrease, starting at 460 in late September and dropping to 272 by the end of December.
